Volunteers needed!
1st Forest Hill Brownies is one of the oldest units in the country – 2025 will be our 100th anniversary – and many wonderful volunteers have provided fun and amazing experiences for girls in the area.
We currently have a long waiting list of girls but have had to limit the size of the unit due to safeguarding reasons – we must have a certain ratio of adults to girls and unfortunately we are short on volunteers, especially ones who have completed the Girl Guiding training to become a Leader or Assistant Leader.
This training really doesn’t take long or cost you anything, is great fun and not at all onerous!

Having another qualified person means we can take the unit back up to its proper strength (our long waiting list has also been exacerbated by the closure of another local unit) and give the girls even more experiences and fun. I originally did the training in order to keep the unit open for my daughter and even though she moved onto Guides some time ago I’m still enjoying it!
